Do you know the most common reasons for rejection? Are you gathering the right evidence? Are you making the right arguments? Are you using the right terminology? Are your numbers right?

Grantmaking trusts and foundations represent a significant amount of income for many charities.  Is your organisation making the most of this valuable source of funding? It’s competitive out there so getting your proposal right is vital. However, perhaps you don’t know where to start? Is this something you struggle with? How do you summarise in a short space what you do and why you need their support?

This course will teach you what to say and how to say it by focusing on your key messages and telling potential funders what they need to know.

By attending this training, you will gain an understanding of the world of trusts and make the most of this valuable income source. It will also give you plenty of hints and tips on research and help you appreciate what trusts want to know, help you to read between the lines of funders criteria and questions so you have a better idea what they are looking for, enabling you to achieve success with more zeros on the grant!

Dragons Den: 5.30-7pm

BONUS: All attendees will meet Funders from leading UK Trusts and Foundations and some will get the chance to pitch live to them.

Now in its 6th year, this Dragons Den/Meet the Funder event will have representatives from the Tudor Trust, Arts Council England, Big Lottery Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund and Trust for London.
